Welcome to the Routes for all pupil page, we hope that you are looking forward to being involved in the Routes for all programme.
A warm welcome if you are joining us for the first time in S5 or S6, and if you have been involved with Routes for all or Focus West before, it’s great to see you back.
The Routes for all programme is designed to help support you in your journey to HNC or HND level study at college after school. You will be on track to be leaving school with 1-3 Higher passes and you may have an idea or not of which area you would like to study. Our Routes for all Team and our Student Mentors are here to help guide you on the path.
For our S5 pupils we will be work with you first of all with the S5 Assembly and then either for a double period in school or a campus day experience- or perhaps a mixture of the two! We will be providing you with the tools you need to start thinking about what your college choices after school may look like. The work we do at S5, is the introduction to the programme and we expand on all of this as part of our S6 work.
If you are joining us for the S6 programme, we will be seeing you often. We are using a hybrid/ blended delivery to lead you through the programme. This means that we will use a mixture of face to face and online learning through the sessions. This is a similar teaching approach that colleges and universities are using just now, so the programme also helps you to see what learning and teaching after school may look like.
Two important things we need you to take care of (so that you don't miss out on any benefits of the programme) are:
- To complete your registration for each year of the programme (in S5 and S6)
- To be active on your learning platform, which our team will give you the details for
